Early this morning i was treated to a fine sighting of a Short-toed eagle ( Circaetus gallicus ) flying above the hills just North of Montpezat-de-Quercy, Tarn-et-Garonne.
What a magnificent eagle and my first sighting for this beautiful raptor.
I include here some images (sadly not my own) for those not familiar with this fine bird.
